I wanted to make clear how the euthanasia debate is influenced primarily by medical innovation. Since medicine has improved to the point where bodies can be kept alive for a long time, the need to control death has arisen. Death is inevitable, and it seems now we have the tools to delay or hasten death. These decisions have implications and must not be taken lightly.
